A Bit About Therapy
PRACTICALITIES
Once you have made initial contact the next step will be to organise a consultation where we will assess your aims for therapy and our suitability to work together.
In this session we will talk together about your goals for the work and any difficulties you might be encountering. This will also give you the opportunity to see if you think we would be a good fit to proceed together.
I typically offer open ended, long term work on a weekly basis but in some cases time limited and more or less frequent sessions are appropriate. These details can be negotiated in our initial consultation.
My fee is £60 per session.
MY APPROACH
Using an integrative relational model of psychotherapy I build an approach which is tailored to meet the unique requirements of each individual client.
My approach is predominantly talking based but I always incorporate the body as a way of accessing deeply held emotions.
You may want to address a specific issue such as anxiety, panic attacks or a difficult life event.
On the other hand you may want to examine something more deep rooted and indefinable. Perhaps you have noticed a recurring pattern of behaviour which is causing you pain in your life, or more general feelings of depression or unhappiness.
I will provide a safe, confidential space in which we can work together to explore these difficulties.
